The UAE government has officially declared the holidays for private sector employees across the nation in celebration of Eid Al Fitr. The break will commence on Monday, April 8, and extend until 3 Shawwal, as per the Islamic calendar, marking the end of Ramadan.

Depending on the duration of Ramadan, two scenarios for the holiday duration have been outlined. Should Ramadan last 30 days, the Eid break will span from Monday, April 8, until Friday, April 12, totaling nine days off when including the preceding and succeeding weekend. In the event Ramadan lasts 29 days, residents will enjoy a six-day break, incorporating the weekend, from Monday, April 8, to Thursday, April 11.

Eid Al Fitr, which signifies the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, is a highly anticipated festival in the UAE. Earlier announcements by the UAE Cabinet specified a nine-day break for federal government employees, while those in Sharjah will relish a 10-day break, owing to three-day weekends for public sector workers in the emirate.
