Travelers on layover in South Korea now have the opportunity to explore various tours and enjoy visa-free entry, announced the Korea Tourism Organization Manila.

Transiting passengers in Seoul can avail themselves of different tours, including visa-free entry to Korea. Passengers with visas for the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and 32 European Union countries can stay in Korea visa-free for up to 30 days. Additionally, travelers heading to a third country not on the aforementioned list can enter Korea visa-free for 3 days.

To qualify for the 3-day visa-free entry programs, travelers must book either the Free Transit or K-Stopover tours.

The Free Transit Tour caters to passengers with layovers of less than 24 hours, offering tours ranging from 30 minutes to 5 hours to destinations such as Younggungsa Temple, Paradise City Art-tainment, Songdo Central Park, Hongdae Street, Gwangmyeong Cave, and affiliated golf courses.

The K-Stopover program provides reasonably priced packages to various locations including Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, and other local tourist destinations.

These transit programs are a collaboration between airlines and airports.

Hyung Joon Kim, the Director of KTO Manila, expressed hope that these transit tours would encourage more Filipinos to visit Korea and enjoy the unique experiences during their layovers.
