Saudi Arabia has granted citizenship to a select group of scientists, doctors, researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs, recognizing their unique capabilities and expertise, according to the Saudi Press Agency on Thursday.

This royal decree is part of an initiative to award Saudi citizenship to individuals with outstanding legal, medical, scientific, cultural, sports, and technical expertise. The aim is to enhance the nation’s capabilities across diverse sectors.

The initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to create an attractive environment for exceptional talents, encouraging their investment and long-term contribution to the country. This move follows a similar granting of citizenship to distinguished professionals in 2021, focusing on economic, health, cultural, sports, and innovation fields.
