In honor of Zayed Humanitarian Day on Ramadan 19, Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah facilitated a series of complimentary surgeries for low-income individuals. The hospital's surgical and orthopaedic departments, operating under Emirates Health Services (EHS), orchestrated these procedures to pay homage to the legacy of the UAE's founding father.
Among the surgeries performed were a colon tumor removal for a 70-year-old patient of Asian descent and a corrective procedure for a 25-year-old Asian patient who sustained an open fracture in his left leg following an accident. The latter received surgery to stabilize the fracture using a metal brace.
Afra Salem, director of Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah, underscored the hospital's commitment to Zayed's humanitarian ideals, emphasizing its dedication to aiding those in need. Salem stressed that such endeavors exemplify essential humanitarian values crucial for community development, reflecting the essence of humanity and contributing to nation-building efforts both regionally and globally.
Additionally, hospital management conducted a compassionate visit to patients across all internal departments, ensuring their well-being and presenting them with tokens of appreciation.
