Authorities have announced that several areas of Abu Dhabi will experience rainfall of varying intensity from Monday, October 7, to Wednesday, October 9. The National Centre of Meteorology attributes the expected weather to surface low pressure combined with a "relatively cold air-mass" in the upper atmosphere.

On Sunday, October 6, some regions of the UAE, including Murbad and Maidaq in Fujairah, witnessed moderate to heavy rains, with hail reported in certain areas. The weather department issued an orange alert for convective cloud formation, with the warning lasting until 8 PM that day.

In the coming days, light to moderate rainfall is expected in Abu Dhabi, particularly in the interior and Al Dhafra areas. Fresh to strong winds may accompany the rain. Residents are urged to exercise caution, adjust speed limits, avoid valleys, and carry first-aid kits and alternative light sources when traveling.
