US doughnut lovers, rejoice: Krispy Kreme offers free St. Patrick's treats

Doughnut enthusiasts have a reason to rejoice this St. Patrick's Day as Krispy Kreme announces the introduction of four new doughnut flavors alongside the return of the much-loved O'riginal Glazed Doughnut for the holiday. Starting March 11, these festive treats will be available for a limited time at participating locations throughout the U.S., according to a recent news release from Krispy Kreme.
In a special promotion, from March 15-17, Krispy Kreme is offering a free O'riginal Glazed Doughnut to customers who visit their shops wearing green, either in-store or through the drive-thru, with no purchase necessary. This unique offer celebrates the holiday with an original Krispy Kreme doughnut that takes on a festive green hue.
The lineup of new doughnut flavors includes the Luck of the Rainbow Doughnut, a colorful creation featuring an Original Glazed Doughnut dipped in green icing, adorned with rainbow sprinkles and a buttercream cloud. The Shamrock Cookies 'N Kreme Doughnut, made with Oreo cookies, offers a cookies and cream filling, white icing, green drizzles, and themed sprinkles. The Plaid Party Doughnut and the Shooting Shamrock Doughnut also join the festive array, each offering a unique twist on Krispy Kreme's classic recipes.
These seasonal offerings are available in-shop, as well as for pickup or delivery through Krispy Kreme's app and website. Select grocery stores will also carry Krispy Kreme 6-packs featuring the new collection.
Dave Skena, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, expressed the company's excitement, stating, "Luck is meant to be shared, and our colorful, fun, all-new St. Patrick’s Day doughnuts will make everyone feel like they’ve found a pot of gold."
