In response to anticipated unstable weather conditions, the United Arab Emirates' National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has advised both private and government entities to implement remote work policies for Thursday and Friday. The recommendation extends to all but essential staff and those involved in disaster response and recovery efforts, with the final decision resting with relevant authorities.
For educational institutions, including schools and universities, remote learning measures will be enforced across the UAE. This decision will be made jointly by federal authorities, local emergency teams, the Ministry of Education, and the Emirates Schools Establishment, taking into account the evolving weather situation.
Similarly, remote work policies will apply to all government institutions and the private sector during the specified period, with exceptions for essential roles and positions requiring physical presence.
