On April 14, the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai almost reached its full capacity of 17,000 seats, as concertgoers, primarily Filipinos from Dubai and other Emirates, gathered to witness an electrifying performance by Filipino music icons Bamboo and Sarah Geronimo. With 98 percent of the tickets sold, the venue was buzzing with excitement and energy.
The concert featured several memorable duets between the two stars, alongside their solo performances of classic hits. Fans passionately sang along, evidencing the deep connection and impact of their music on the Filipino community abroad. This spectacular gathering highlighted the strong turnout and support for Filipino artists, which was similarly observed at their recent concert in Qatar on April 11.
Sarah Geronimo, a versatile performer known for winning the "Star for a Night" talent show and earning multiple awards including a Billboard Women in Music Award and an MTV Europe Music Award, charmed the audience with hits from her extensive discography. Bamboo Mañalac, known for his distinctive vocal style and dynamic stage presence, delivered powerful performances that resonated well with his fans.
The Dubai concert is part of a larger tour, with their next scheduled performance set to take place at the first ever Hot Air Balloons and Concert at the Albay-Bicoloco Festival in the Philippines. Scheduled from May 3-5, 2024, at the Old Legazpi Airport, the festival promises to be an exciting event with special performances by "Philippines King of Rock" Bamboo and "Popstar Royalty" Sarah Geronimo.
